It's Friday Freebie Day! @ Bugaboo

Right! Two treats... depending on the way you look at them... One, it's Friday Freebie day over on Bugaboo Pop over anyway to see the fabulous cards made by the Bug-Team! See more halloween mummys here.
Here's my card.
Now, for those of you in England, The Little Mummy boy, or girl (I have added both boy and girl spiders!) is holding some Halloween Candy Corn. Which I wouldn't've known if we hadn't gone over to Seattle when our grandson was born, (nearly three years ago now!)
I didn't really like them at first but in the end we scuffed loads! Had bags in the car and just filled our faces. The ones I liked best were the ones with chocolate flavoured bottoms, which is why my candy has a brown bottom!
Talking about bottoms, I wasn't sure if that bit at the back of the mummy was the mummy's bottom (or other foot) or if it was part of the candy, as it gave him a whole new look if coloured the same as the candy and made it look as though he was wearing it! (Good both ways!)
I've 3D the little mummy, coloured him with Promarkers. The little green hand is a paper-clip from Tesco's. (added just to see, but got stuck there so stayed) All the papers are by PinkPetticoat.
Now the second treat, which really isn't one. Hubby made a thingy holder for my old camera, as I had this idea to film me making my shaker card... that didn't happen, but this is my hands... first go, practising! (turn it up if you really want to hear me talking to myself!

If you haven't ran away screaming...(or fallen asleep) back to the card. The inside has a pocket for birthday or treat money or tickets to a favourite film or show. I've added a BOO! label attached to a strip of acetate.
The font is a freebie. It's called Spiderfingers, Google the name or find it HERE. It prints solid black (or any colour) but if you want it like this put it into WordArt on your computer.
That's it! Don't forget to pop over to Bugaboo to grab your freebie, make something and join in with their challenges!! I'm not here at the moment, this is on timer, so back later to add some...

  1. That image is so clever Lyn, and the card is great too. I immediately thought it looked very American and your story explains the influence!

  11. LOL! I think that little bump on the back is her foot - but I could be completely wrong! I didn't even think about the chocolate bottom. My faves are the ones that taste like caramel. Fabulous card and love all the texture. The inside is equally nice!!
