My Bugaboo Friday Freebie Card.

It's Friday! Which mean "It's Friday Freebie" over on the Bug!! (If he's not there yet, he will be soon!...it's probably still yesterday in America!) Don't you just louve him! It's Stock Monkey, with a pencil, ready for any project you want to make and he's free all this coming week over on Bugaboo! HERE . And see what the Bug-Team have made HERE
See more of his friends HERE and while you're there look out for yesterdays Oldie but Goodie Thursday Creations made by the Bug-team with Images from awhile ago but still 'Goodies'!
Here's my Guest Designer Card: All the Green, yellow and red lines all the way round the card and on the layers, were coloured with Promarkers.
The topper starts off with yellow and green Promarker edging a card, then some wording in black and white, which I did on the computer, then monkey cut out with my deckled edged Nestabilities, so some of him gets cut off. Then to make him whole again, I've covered him with another monkey, then covered that monkey with a monkey with one leg, and lastly, covered that monkey with another monkey's head, paw (hand?) and paw holding the apple. (that's a lot of monkeys!!)
I touched him up (in a nice way!) with a white gel pen. His face got a bit creased where I 'curled' the paper with my finger in the palm of my hand. The 'back 2 skool' was done on the computer, in bold. (white on black)
The Font is a freebie, linked it before. It's called Billy Bear's Crayons, or Google the name or download it @ Billybear4kids(link on side bar)
Freebie Papers: The large black board type paper comes from Free Digital Scrap Booking. I've linked them loads of times so you've probably got it, if not stay a while, loads of papers for you to download, join their News Letter for up dates and talking about News Letters, join Bugaboo's New Letter too, get to know about everything Bugaboo before everyone else and get a freebie!!!
Back later to add the right links if they're wrong, more pictures, coz I forgot to take any of the inside and to add more challenges... coz I've lost my notebook... again...

It's a Magnam...or two...

Afternoon bloggers! Here's Magnum...isn't he cute? I won him! Yay! And where I won him (Ladybugs) are having a challenge, which I hope I'm not too late for. (No I'm not!)
You might have spotted Magnum and Lilly his mouse friend, half way through being coloured on my WOYWW post yesterday, with odd bits of paper stuck over another sheet of paper.
Here he is finished. I've done a bit of paper piecing where you print or stamp your image over some backing paper and then cut out bits to piece over the image...
There's quite a lot of layers, and some cheats too! The topper has, the red, the first digi, then the added papered chair, then another Promarkered Magnum and then the TV, but the legs of the TV are the legs from the first digi...yes, I'm confused too!
Counting them all there's about nine! but they are all stuck down to look like one image.
I used scraps of paper ... first, print what you want on to plain paper/card and then, stick (I used a smidge of photo glue, coz it peels off easy) some scraps over the image, print it again and those bits of scrap paper will then have the image printed on them too, ready to be cut out.
Here you can see I've paper pieced the arm chair with some small flowery papers by Pink Petticoat and in side, I've paper pieced the cake case.
All the papers are Pink Petticoat...I'm still using up my 'bits' and most of my bits are PP.
The red edging you can see is red Promarker edged around some paper/card but inside it's red pen.
Magnum, Lilly and the TV have been coloured with Promarkers. The Bakers twine was a freebie from PaperCraft Inspiration Magazine this month...
The sentiment was done on the computer. There was a comma after 'take the best chair' but John, (hubby) kept reading it as 'Take the best chain' So I've scribbled over it with a white gel pen...(but have since inked it in with a pen) think he needs new reading glasses! (Click photos to make them bigger)
The Font is a freebie it's called Idolwild download it HERE or just Google the name. New Follower! Hi and a Big wave to Tracy Jensen, who's loves knitting and rabbits I think!! Angora knits
That's it! Tomorrow I'll show you the new Freebie from Bugaboo, hope you've picked up this weeks. Thanks for stopping by! If I'm not too late I'd love to add this to some...

Bug Has a New Bubble!

It's Tuesday, which means, I can change my socks.. nah only kidding, I did that yesterday! It means it's new release day over in the Bugaboo digi Store, and look who came to play in my craft room! Isn't he just too darn cute!?! Wouldn't he make a great birthday or invitation to a party card!?
This is Bubble's Birthday Present all ready for a party! Pop over and see him and some of his friends and some more cards made by the bug team over on Catch the Bug .
My Card: I printed out Bubble a couple of times. Coloured with Promakers. Cut out one image with a scalloped Nestibilitie, cut the other one out, snipping off the bow, the top of the hat and those fiddly bits and stuck it over the top using gel glue.
Then, with the same five colours I used on the digi I striped a piece of A4 heavy paper and used that as backing, inside and out, after I first edged the pearl card with a Turquoise ProMaker.
I've added felt flowers. I fixed the sequins in the centres using gel glue.
There's some some plastic swirly bits that came as part of a party set of backless buttons, tiny green heart gems, fixed on with a quickie glue pen, a ribbon and a lace boarder using a Martha Stewart punch, (inked a little bit) The sentiment was done on the computer. The Font is a freebie its called Ackident download it there or Google the name.

Down On The Quirky Farm!

It's That Quirky Time Again!!! Quirky Crafts Challenge should have started over on the challenge blog. And if you're reading this, yay! the timer's worked! It is Caro's turn to set the theme this week and being a country girl (like me!) and remembering all those hot summer days playing around on the farm as a child, Caro's decided that this challenge will be....
Recycling on the Farm
Easy! Anything to do with farms, animals, barns, tractors etc BUT she would also like you to include at least one recycled element on your creation! (Ok...who thought of manure??)
We are lucky enough to have two sponsors this week. More prizes!! The first prize, chosen by the design team, will receive some lovely 'Moo' ribbon from Crafty Ribbons, and the second prize is a $5 gift voucher from our other sponsor Digital delights.
I didn't make a card this time. I made this Alphabet Hanging thing-me-jig, the idea is, once you have all twenty six made they could lace or clip together like a book..(or hang around a room) I used cardboard from a cat food box as my recycled thing and some garden raffia from the green house. (I dusted off the cobwebs first!) The tiny buttons I'm sure are by Woodware. The chicken ribbons you can see in the top photo, came from Crafty Ribbons (I won loads of them one Easter!)
I've coloured both Farmer Giles and Claudia Cow with Promarkers from our sponsors and put them together, in Word. No 3D-ing this time, just the one layer.
I was going to just use the 'grass' and flowers paper, but I didn't have enough. (think that came from Hobby Craft) The brown whirly paper behind it, came in a 'Goody Bag' called Sugar & Spice by Dovecraft. Also have some clear stamps and brads to match (Note to self ..use them!)
The font I've used you probably already have, it's called Arial Rounded MT Bold or Google the name.

I've also been having a go at making a new 'Badge' for the store. I've added it to the corner of some of the pictures. Not sure about the yellow, might change it to blue...or green...maybe blue! I've used my Hedgie with his Watering Can. What d'you think? It's not quite finished but I'm quite chuffed with myself seeing I have cheese for brains! Thanks really goes to the Bugaboo Bear, which I have to add to my Catch the Bug GDT cards, didn't I get mad with that!!! And then it just suddenly clicked how I could do the same with this badge, which I've had kicking around for ages. That's it! Call into Quirky Craft and have a go! Thanks for stopping by! Back laters to add some...

It's Stella Says Sketch Over on the Bug!

I was trying to kill two stones will one bird with this card thinking it would fit the Recipe Challenge, that started yesterday... and The Sunday Stella Says Sketch Challenge, which is about to or has already started over on Catch The Bug, but it doesn't, so...!
Here's my GDT card for the sketch, I've used a square card, so changed the backing papers to square as well. I've used Stella Sew Thread. Coloured her with two of my newest Promarkers, Cocktail Pink and Soft Green. (plus Cool Grey 1 and Pastel Blue for shading) Here's the sketch... nice and easy... Stella waving her banner looking grumpy as ever! (you don't have to use a Stella, go get this weeks bugaboo freebie, and use that, it's too cute!)
As always, I've done a bit of 3D-ing, I cut off all the fiddly bits and then cut off her legs too, but after I'd die-cutted her, she'd lost a bit of her shoe, so decided to stick her legs back on again! (A Girl's gotta have her shoes!)
I did the sentiment on the computer. Had a few other ideas of what to say, but decided this was the safest one.
All the papers are by PinkPetticoat. (Still using up all my 'bits') The ribbon, buttons and green and pink card are all from my stash. (Yes I used real card this time!) Most likely will send this to my daughter over in the USA. It's her birthday next month.
The font is a Freebie. It's called Poornut. You can download it HERE or just Google the name.
That's it, I'm not here. Hopefully the timer should work! (fingers crossed)
Some time this evening The next Quirky Craft's Challenge should come up on timer, actually the whole of today's on timer, as we're all going up to Emma's (daughter) for Sunday lunch ...which will probably be closer to dinner time tomorrow! (depending on when you're reading this!) Happy Crafting! Happy Bank Holiday to every one this side of the pond.... Bet it's raining! Thank you for stopping by, back later to add a few...

A Quirky peek and something to seek... Hidden Freebie!

Hope you're all having a lovely August Bank Holiday weekend, and aren't getting too wet! Here's a sneaky peek at my tomorrows Quirky Craft's Challenge creation. I say creation, because for once I haven't made a card.
It's Caro's turn to set the theme, I'm not going to give anything away, only I do have a freebie hidden in this post somewhere, seeing I haven't done one of these for ages, I thought I'd do a 'scene'. Sort of goes with the theme in a way. It's not going to be here for long, so grab it while you can, it's a little bit wonky so if it does appear in my store later it will look a lot different, mainly because there is a BIG mistake in it... Shall I tell you?? No...I'll let you guess!! Anyway!! Any ideas on tomorrows challenge?? Please leave a comment if you can, and don't forget, no sharing on other web sites, just save it to you computer. Links are always welcome!! Thank you for stopping by!

It's A Pumpking Well Friday Freebie!

Happy Friday!! It's Freebie Friday over on Bugaboo! Pop over and grab this little pumpkin Bumpkin Trio. While you're there hunt out the rest of their family and the other cards made by the Bugaboo team!
I Love these little Bumpkins! They are just right for a not too spooky Halloween Party Invitation, birthday or Happy Halloween card!
My Card. I'm still trying to use up all my 'bits' so that accounts for the shapes, the layering and the colours I've used on the card.
All the papers are PinkPetticoat. I've used a Nesties deckle edged die-cut, my Martha Stewart cobweb border punch, some spooky confetti left over from a party, and a wiggly purple ribbon that came free from a Crafty Magazine a couple of years ago.
The Bumpkins were printed out twice and the larger two 3D-ed over the top of the main image after cutting off their ears (ouch!) the leaf and the twirly bit. I'm using the PinFlair glue gel for this at moment, although I still think it's a little 'softer' than the silicone, but it doesn't smell! (actually I quite like the smell of the silicone... could explain the voices! What? Now? No, later, I'm all out of celery.)
The font is a freebie, because it's actually called Halloween, it's hard to find, but there's loads of Halloween fonts HERE and HERE and a few more HERE
New Followers! Hi and a big ((wave)) to Linda Kupsta

Another Back 2 School Bear from Bugaboo

Another quick post, while I remember! Just to remind you to shoot over Bugaboo Stamps and find this cutie bear, which is this week's new release, School Bears. On sale in their store now!
It's my second card using this digi. and for a change I dug out some scalloped edged cards. Had this packet for well over five years so it's about time I used them! They are a bit thinner than I like, but once they have a few layers on, they aren't too bad...
This time I added the 'Good Luck' wording to the edge of the pencil (In Word) and coloured it in with a fine nibbed red Promarker. The 'Back 2 Skool' sentiment was done at the same time, on the computer too... probably why I've used up all my ink!
The freebie'Good Luck'Font is the same one I used on the Tuesday card. Lamebrain BRK The freebie font on the black board is called 'Cool Dots', which I've also linked before. I'll add more pictures and challenges later ...if I don't go to bed soon, it'll be time to get up! Back later to add a few...

New Release At Bugaboo!

It's Tuesday! (well, it was!) which means it's new release day over in The Bugaboo store! And before all you with little ankle biters, tiny monsters and cheeky monkeys, get ready to go back to school pop over to Bugaboo Stamps and find this cutie bear for this week's new release and more, School Bears. This is pencil bear, so cute! and just right for all your back to school cards! It's on sale now in their store! My Card. I've added loads of layers, using black card this time, no cheating with paper/card coloured black with a Promarker! Still no printer ink, so I've been hunting out all my papers that had already been printed, some of them were in my 'bit' folder, I throw nothing away! (which is why the dotty papers inside are slightly different colours. All the papers are by PinkPetticoat. Buttons came from an old kiddies cardigan. (holey elbows ~ too tatty to give to charity) The thin ribbon came from a new top. Apple came from a set of 'school' brads. I printed the bear out three times, so I could 3D him. I started with a whole bear, a bear with his leg missing and then lastly, just a bear with an arm holding the pencil. Coloured with Promarkers, fixed together with silicone free 3D gel. (Still not sure if I like it, the silicone seems to have a bit more 'body') Font is a freebie, it's called Lamebrain BRK (my middle name I think!) For the inside I opened the font in WordArt, so that's why it looks different. I've left it uncoloured, but in my next card I've coloured it with Promarkers. Had a busy day, first, shopping for shelves, for Deb, sis in law... umm because her car's in the garage. Why??? Because she put diesel in it, instead of petrol! Stopped at the craft shop, I needed glue (again) and Pastel Blue Promarker (again. John and Deb stayed in the pub, which meant I had to drive) then the cake shop, then the furry animal shop, where sis bought a pottery type cat, on to Lady Pams, so John could re-tile her shower, then to the hospital to pop in to see a neighbour, then on to the funeral place to pay a bill, stopped off at the off-licence, then back to Lady Pam to pick up John, take Deb home, go on the internet to do a bit of shopping, and then back here. Phew! It's been a very long day!

Freebie, Lots Of Spots

I made this on the laptop. I was going to use it on a card for today, but forgot I'm still out of colour ink! So the yellow came out a washed out green, which slowly looked like I'd been playing with my mushy peas. The second one is the same with added 'noise' and the third looks a little smashed. Just click and save to your computer.

Send A Smile 4 Kids

I won a top three place and a chance to be a Guest Designer for a challenge over on Send A Smile 4 Kids a few months ago and this is the card I sent them for their new challenge starting sometime today. Their sponsors for this Challenge are Robyn's Fetish and Saturated Canary. And the theme?
Anything Goes 4 Kids!
My Card. I've made a birthday card for a girlie girl! I folded some pearl lilac card in half, trimmed it to make a square, then printed out some freebie patchwork papers from Bearly Mine I liked them so much I bought the set.
I then found another freebie over on Saturated Canary. These lovely digis are not there for long, so grab them while you can! This one is called Jules, (she's no longer a freebie as I started making the card some time ago) you can now find her in the Saturated Canary's Store Here. You'll find some more similar freebies HERE leave some love, use the digi's and have fun!
I coloured with Promarkers, added tiny gems, eyelash wool, a tiny bow, a heart charm and a paper lace border cut out using my Martha Stewart Lace punch.
The Font is a freebie it's called Abbeyline, download HERE or just Google the name.
New Follower! Hi and a big ((wave)) to Audrey aka Hippieaud! Pop over and say hi! That's it for now, thank you for stopping by!
