This Month Spyder has Spyed....

...a few of my digi's on some fabulous cards! I missed last month so I thought I'd combine May into June's, seeing it's nearly July! You may have spotted some of these cards already in my didi digi store, Spyder's Other Corner, but I thought they needed a mention too, as this 'Spyder Has Spyed' thingy is still fairly new. Now, when I go blog hunting, I sometimes forget to add a link to where I found the cards, and so forget who made them. If you spy your card or cards here let me know, there's a Free Digi for every card seen here. (even if you've already received one via a Spyder Challenge some time back) Email me at dragonsmoore at googlemail dot com and let me know which digi you'd like and I'll email it back to you!!

Happy Birthday Mum-in-Law

It's John's mum's birthday today. Happy Birthday June! She's eee.... nah I won't tell! She wasn't feeling too well, so I hope my little card cheered her up. (Along with the Chocies, flowers and anti-wrinkle cream!) I've had this cute Pepper and Friends image sitting on my shelves for ages now. I coloured it using my Promarkers of course! I was going to use brown and cream papers, but I think my favourite PinkPetticoat, pink and blue Vintage Rose papers go quite well, althought the photo doesn't do them justice. I've used my Nesties, Woodware and two Martha Stewart punches. This card would fit into my Challenge over on the Quirky Craft's Challenge blog, as I've embossed the image, (dry and heat) used a stamped image, a ribbon, five flowers, pink and blue colouring, three backing papers (at least!) and there's paper lace too. There's nine recipe boxes to choose from so come and join in! The font on the outside, is called Amazone BT and you can download it HERE The inside font is also a freebie, it's called akaFrivolity and you can download that here. New Follower, thank you and a big (((Wave)) to Mary Beth, with a fab new blog called Scrap Bug Studios, pop over and say hi, love your 'Kenny' cards! I'd love to enter this card into a few....

Wednesday's Worktop Watch

Morning WOYWWers! I'm just sooo behind with everything I'm supposed to be doing I'll type very fast. Pleese xscoose the smelling mistakes!
The 'map' I was trying to get done last week is now finished and framed, and not a minute before it was due. It's wanted for an auction. I was asked to add to the cartoon map... Geysir, Volcano, Plane, a troll and their school Symbol, which I can't find anywhere... all a bit vague really...so this is what I came up with. Any more ideas would be welcome! (I have a few hours left!...a minute...two seconds....) All the little pictures on there were full size A4 reduced down to very teeny-tiny squares. I didn't want to draw straight onto the map, in case I made a mistake! (I did try, it was a disaster!!) The island by the way is suppose to be Iceland, but I've never know an island to keep changing shape! Not one map I found was the same so, I sort of drew my own version of it... hope I haven't missed chunks out! I'll blame it on Global warming!!
My PiF hasn't come yet :o( so I can't show you it, maybe next week! Can't wait!
The other side of my craft room is filled with the makings of the map... so I've done you a 'one day Freebie Map' this week and a little crossed-eye dog for the week... well...it's two in the morning and I couldn't think of anything to draw!
Now that most of my 'have to do jobs' are nearly done, I hope to get round more of you this week, I think I missed most of the middle row... it kept growing longer and longer!!
If you're new to all this blogging about, but love to have a snoop around tons of crafty spaces, why not join in, just pop over to The Stamping Ground! Bye for now. This is on timer as I'm....not here...
oh no....I've just spotted a mistake.....I've signed it 2010, dam, bother, hoggleswobble!!

A Quirky Squares Theme Thingy

Hi peoples! Hope you're all well and have so far had a fabulous weekend. It's been raining here in Britain, but then we do need it! Luckily it's held off a bit for today. Meanwhile, it's time for another Quirky Challenge! This time it's my turn to set the theme. So I thought I'd do something other than a sketch as I always do a sketch. Instead I've chosen a bit of a Quirky...
Recipe Theme Box!

Very easy challenge. All you have to do is choose any three or more of the squares (or even all of them if you're feeling very clever!) and make something crafty, ie... you might like to choose to use four brads and three backing papers, with a digi...or, five flowers, Coffee and cream with embossing. Or...an embossed acetate card with a digi and some ribbon. The idea is to use no less than three of the boxes.
This challenge is kindly being sponsored by Craft Ribbons! And Robyn's Fetish.
Here's my card. I've used a Robin Fetish Digi Puppy Paws. As soon as I saw him I knew I just had to make a card using him...the other members of the team have used a lovely dragonfly and Teacups... (short purse to think) Nah, Puppy wins by a mile!! I've made his eyes a little darker though.
I've used PinkPetticoat backing papers matted over some nice shimmery plain brown papers and some freebie 'paws papers' by Pixie . The link has been on my side bar for ages, or go here to download them. Don't forget to leave some love.
I printed the puppy out twice. Then coloured them with ProMarkers, cut out the best one and after curving him to make him pop out, I fixed him over the top of the first puppy using silicone glue. (after I'd die cut and embossed him with my deckled edged Nesties)
So, what have I used? I've used a digi, three backing papers in Coffee and cream, and brown, five flowers (the bottom flower is a double) and added four card candi's, four brads and some embossing.
For my ribbon or lace I've used brown raffia instead.
As you can see, or you might not have noticed, I couldn't decide on the sentiment....
The fonts I've used are all freebies. 'Sorry You're Paw-ly' is called Hornswoggled... I love that name! Hornswoggle!! It's my new swear word! And you can download it HERE
The sentiment 'Hello!!' is called Appleboy BTN and you can download that HERE (You'll also find Appleboy Outline Here)
That's about it. Pop over to Quirky Craft's to see the rest of the DT and GDT's fabulous makes and to check out my bad spelling! I'm off out for the rest of the afternoon so this is on timer.
**Update...Remember that Father's Day card I couldn't find... yes it was this one, sitting behind me all the time!!! This is how it ended up. Font used this time, front and inside, is called Candy Buzz BTN and you can download it for free HERE! (Some sites do charge) I've added paw prints and a smaller 'flipped' puppy to the inside along with two ladybugs from Penny Black Stickeroos. (plus the 'chewed' corner!) The insert sentiment and puppy dog was done in Word.
I like this card sooo much better, than the painting bear for the post below. Me-thinks my dad might be getting two cards this Father's day!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Happy Fathers Day Dad

Happy Father's Day to all the dads in blogland!! This is Emma's card to her dad on this Fathers Day. A lovely picture of them both at her wedding. It's a lovely photo and I must get it printed out and framed (In a big frame)
As for my card to my dad...ah..now where did I put it? It's somewhere safe but of course I forgot where! So I found this one, which you've seen before ages ago, I've revamped a bit. Dad likes doing a spot of painting...with an easel and oil paints or water-colours.... so this was as close to that as I could get!
I usually (sometimes) put To Pop on the card and he growls at me, so....this time I didn't...unless of course you turn the card upside down.....the A is sooo round it looks like an O and I'd run out of D's so they are P's.... but no one will know!
Now, how many of you are now trying to turn your computers up-side down to see!?

Quirky Sneak Peek in Squares....

((Wave))) Hi Peeps! A Quick post to let you know there's another Quirky Craft's challenge coming up later today. The winners of the last Challenge should appear any minute over on the challenge blog!
Here's my sneek peek of my DT card for the new Challenge. Is it a clue? It could well be! It's my turn to set the theme so I hope you'll all come and join in!!

ohoo that was a short post....!

My Mini Craft Room

I really wanted to add my PiF tiny craft room to a few challenges so hunted a few out. And the fact that it's little picture won't appear in the inlinks thingy on my blog if it hasn't got a post of it's own! I've added a few more photos...very long post so just scroll down!!
After painting it, I added the 'wall paper' with mock coving and skirting boards, the bench was covered in wood effect sticky back paper. All the little books have staples and the sheets of backing papers are held together with a brad, so they look as though they were just thrown on the shelves as they are fan-able (is that a word?) or moveable, but can't fall off. There's a cup, which is really a seed pod, a bead held in place with glue and a pin...
The scissors and hammer are brads. Tiny buttons. Tiny punched out flowers. A pink square of foam for the cutting board. Rolls of tiny thread, and ribbon. Inches seemed to be a good thing to use as pictures or scrapbook pages. The spider, wine bottle and glass are confetti. Tiny 3D foam pads have been cut down to look like big foam pads. A lid was used for a (very filled) waste paper basket. A decoupage sheet was reduced to a very tiny size and has 'fallen' onto the floor. The carpet really is my craft room carpet! I used a tiny tag punch smudged with glitter to look like one of those glitter trays.
A WOYWW Banner is on the wall. A clock, storage jars and the cat were all cut from magazines. The 'pin board' was a tag, I cut little slits to hold the 'letters'. A mini me ((Loony Lyn) is on the front of one of the books. String, thread, paper, beads, and ribbons fall from match box draws. The pencil tub was just a glued roll of paper held by the white paper clip, which I left on. It was then filled with silicone glue and filled with cut down match sticks and tooth picks to look like pens and pencils. A tiny glass jar, which once held beads was filled with all sorts of bits and pieces. A very small cotton reel now appears to be a very large cotton reel. The 'card' is actually full size and was on a decoupage set, so you would know how the card would look once made up. I'd kept it in one of my draws and it just fell out as if to say, use me!! so I did...!

How it started, painted on my ironing board... and turned into this..

For one of my challenges there has to be a tag...
The little glitter tray is a tiny woodware punched tag

The notice board was a tag cut down and
there's the butterfly for the Tuesdaytaggers challenge

The last thing I stuck down was the little brown parcel under the counter. The tag on it reads to Debs! (who was my PiF partner) It's supposed to be the little craft room all wrapped up ready to be posted... Thanks for stopping by!
