This Month Spyder has 'Spyed' (September)

It's the end of September and time for another 'Spyder has Spyed' post, where I hunt around blogland to find if any of my digi's are being used on your cards or projects! I've found a few, and if you see your make here, pop over to the store, chose one (or two if you've used two of my digi's!) email me, tell me which , and I'll send it/them back to you as a Thank You for playing with my didi digi's! Not been able to make a lot of new digi's lately, so hopefully while I'm way next week House and Dog sitting (again!) I'll have time to I draw a few!
A lot of you called Digger the Mole a Hedgehog, so I'll have to do another version of him, looking more like a hedgehog! And talking of Digger, here he is!!
Isn't this fabulous! Ginny, from RubberMad, and all the way from California!! emailed me to show off her fantastic card for one of her three grandchildren, using Digger The Mole!
I love he's layers and soft colouring. Pop over to Ginny's Lovely Blog to find out what she used and how she made him look so fantastic!!

This super card was made by Jacynthe from Life in my craft room who used orange and green to bring this Happy Scarecrow to life!!

Another fabulous card made by Paula, from Scrap Addicts Attic,' Paula's not only used Wilma and Wizzy but The Haunted House too! Both these digi's are now in the store, ready for Halloween!
This Haunted Tree card was made by Sandy, called 'Sweet Memories From Stanley Avenue' Sally sent me a lovely story, which I hope she won't mind sharing.
The card is for my dear Aunt who is 86. She was born in UK but emigrated to NZ in the 60’s. She lived in Copnor Hampshire when she was young and there was a really weird tree in the bottom of her garden a bit like the tree that you have sent me. Anyway she is very poorly in NZ and not expected to be with us for very long … she came over to the UK in February this year and wanted to get to see if the tree was still in the garden unfortunately she never managed to get there … this card is just to send love and “sweet memories”
You'll find Sandy's blog, here!

Paula, from Scrap Addicts Attic also made this fabulous 'dark' card using the haunted tree! I love those colours together. Very Spoooky!

Chrissy from Chrissy's Cardland used Possy bear to make this sweet card. Chrissy coloured with Faber Castell pencils and blended with Archival oil, added Autumn coloured stones in the centres of the flowers, used papers from Graphic 45 Steampunk Collection and that gorgeous ribbon?? was from her door hanger! (Brilliant bit of recycling!)

I love this card with Kitty in the flower pot made by from Will Run For Stamps The sentiment is by HeroArts. I love that ribbon!
I did have a couple more but my computer must have saved them somewhere else. So if you see your card here, don't forget to email me and I'll send you a freebie...Now!! I haven't been putting many new ones in the store lately as I've been, on the pills!! and also away. But as I said above, hopefully there should be some new digi's arriving very soon! (So you might want to wait a bit!)
New Follower! Hi and a big (((Wave)) to Simone, who at the moment hasn't a link. October tomorrow! Pinch and a punch!!! Thank you for stopping by.

Happy Birthday Mason Rain!

It's Mason's 2nd birthday today! Happy Birthday Mason! Wish I could be there. This is the card I ended up sending.
Thinking that a cheeky monkey in bright colours might be more favourable than the pastel coloured ark. (As long as he doesn't eat the bits!) which I made waaay back in February, then I found again...(I'm always losing things... shoes, glasses, car keys...)
I've used another Dustin Pike digi this time too, coloured it with ProMarkers, of course. I've decoupaged or 3D-ed him and added another candle as there was only one.
First I coloured about four monkeys, (monkies?? No, that doesn't look right!) kept one as the base, then added another whole image, so his hat and feet, which had been sliced off by the Nestie die-cut, would still be there. (He didn't mind losing his feet) Then added a tailless monkey, (Ouch!!) then just a head, (he was used to it by then!) and an extra present and candle... (If you understood all that, you're cleverer than me!)
I've used freebie brown gingham backing paper, which is available HERE. The green paper with chocolates dots came from Pink Petticoat.
The Font of course is a freebie, I've linked it before, it's called Baby Kruffy and you can download it HERE.
The top sentiment line is printed as it types out in 'Word' and the red was put into WordArt (on your computer) and coloured there too.
Inside I've used green paper for the insert to go with the green card and added a Penny Back Stickeroo. All fixed together with either silicone glue or photo glue.
This photo was snagged off of FaceBook. Mason playing with the Duplo Lego we sent him, via his Aunty Emma and Uncle Tom... Like I said. Wish we were there!
At least the card arrived this time, (You can see it in the pic below) not sure if the tiger card I made last year ever arrived, as they don't have a postman out there and a couple of my cards have come back, undelivered.
I will add some challenges later, have a few lined up but I've (ummm) lost my little note book... which is no surprise seeing the state of my craft room!! But it's toooo sunny to tidy up!!! Thanks for stopping by!

Where's WOYWW?! Somewhere in England

I've been away, (no, not locked away) so of course, my batteries are flat... I mean, my camera's batteries are flat! So...I've no pictures...yet.... but imagine this!!! A tidy craft room, with everything in it's place and all my projects Finished!!! In your dreams!
So...I'm off to bed, it's gone 2:30 in the morning, so this is already Wednesday...When you read this, I'll probably still be in bed, snoring! I'll get up, (fall out of bed) race to the kitchen, flicking on the kettle (an electric kettle for all our American visitors) get my (hopefully) changed batteries and camera (via the first port of call, the bathroom) rush back into my extremely tidy craft room (fibber) Rush out again and wake up poor hubby coz he had the memory card last, then (if I find it) scream quickly into said craft room and take a couple of fabulous (out of focus) pictures of some thing! (Trying to disguise the mess!) Then I''ll pop over to Julia's Stamping Ground, and join in with all the other WOYWWers, (probably doing the same!) it's that easy!! So go and get your camera and join in too! ps...if this post does appear with no pictures... I'm still in bed... and pictures will appear around lunch time... Have a great woyww
Bye for now!

Christmas Stocking Bear Digi.

Morning Bloggy Friends! This is 'Christmas Bear with Stocking!' who could do with a better name! He is now in my digi store..99p!

Picture From Seattle!

Emma and Tom have arrived over in Seattle, visiting Maria and Mason (daughter and grandson who live there!) and have just sent me this picture.
Me, John and Emma have one of these pictures too, (from when we went over for Maria's Wedding. The background is a big photograph...not the real view...basically because you are actually on the ground floor of the Seattle Space Needle, so of course, if you are inside it you wouldn't be able to see it outside! as well. Can't wait to see some pic's of grandson Mason... Hurry up and send me some Emma!!!
Now, just to warn you, (if you email me about anything...) I'm not here over the weekend, so behave, and I'll answer any queries on Monday!! (But will have laptop with me just in case there's an Internet connection where we are going!) I did make a birthday card for Mason ages ago for Tom and Emma to take over with them.... which you've already seen, but couldn't find it!! (see WOYWW post to see why!!) so I've made another one that I'll post at the end of the month. In case you missedthis card last time, here's the links to the free paper and free font...

Arf Arf!!

We've been dog sitting over the weekend, so just so's you know that I haven't been abducted by aliens or anything hairy or purple, I thought I'd add a couple of pictures of the little beasties! Well, one big beastie and a smaller one. I did ask them to 'smile' for the camera, but they were more interested in watching a model boat whizzing round the pond behind them.

Has anyone else noticed over the last week or so, when you click on the pictures to enlarge them they go into this slider thing? I'm quite sure I haven't clicked on any buttons to make it happen, but then again...who knows! Oh, and that's John's Foot by the way. Happy Crafting!

Hidden Freebie

This is a hidden Freebie. Please do not share it on shared sites. Just right click and save to your computer!

Happy Birthday Maria!

It's my youngest daughter's 30th birthday today. It doesn't seem that long ago she was hitting me over the head with her potty at five in the morning! Luckily she hadn't done anything in it, she just couldn't get her babygrow off! Wouldn't wear a nightie, loved her babygrows.... with the feet cut out! Happy Birthday Maria! Love you! Big Hugs! Her big sister Emma, (and Tom) are going over to America next week to spend time with her and her husband Jesse and our grandson, Mason, who will be two at the end of the month. Wish we were going, but alas I'm too big to fit into one of their suitcases.
Today my hunt for a Mariposa paper stack came to an end when I found one at the Range, (thanks to Di for putting that thought of HobbyCraft in my head!) and it jumped into my basket without me noticing...(after asking hubby if he minded living on beans on toast for the next month!) So, not only did I use a sheet of that lovely glitter and foil paper for this card, I'm making a start at covering my two boxes with it as well. (Watch this space!)
Our main trip out was really to visit Toys R Us, to buy a pressie for Grandson Mason, so Emma can take it with her next week. Now... Toys R us, Big American company, yes? No! How come we can't buy something here, (On line or in the shop) which allows our daughter to pop into the Toys R Us over there, and pick it up? They don't do that. How come they have INTERNATIONAL GIFT CARDS that when you ask, "If we buy one of those and send it to our daughter in America, will she be able to use it in the Toys R Us store near her?" after a long wait over a garbled intercom, the answer came back.... NO! So, just thought I'd warn anyone who thought they could do that.
So? Moan over...what did I use? The Mariposa stack paper, already mentioned. On the inside I've used some of My Mind's Eye, from a huge stack I brought back from America when Mason was born, the Tim Holtz Bird cage die, some peel-offs and a little eye-lash wool. There is quite a bit of glitter and foil already on the card, but it doesn't really show up here. The font I've used on the inside is a freebie, it's called A Yummy Apology and you can download it here
New Followers! It keeps going up ad down, but as I type it's now 603! My goodness, thank you all for following, it wasn't that long ago, I was doing a little jig when there was three! (and one of them was me!)

Wednesday, Wednesday, Wednesday

It's Wednesday again... (well, it was when I typed this) and as I've said many times... Wednesday's come around far more times than any other day of the week! Here's what's on my desk this Wednesday... Not very exciting. Some clear stamps that I've just started to cut out ready to add a bit of Kling-on (nothing to do with StarTrek..) it's that sticky rubbery stuff you put on your non-wooden backed stamps. Bit fiddly but has to be done other wise you can't really use them...well you can..but..no, not really, anyway. Here's a YouTube Video on how to do it right. See, told you... very boring worktop this week. So, if yours is better, more exciting, or even more boring than my desk, take a picture, pop over to Julia's Stamping Ground... and join in and we're come round and have a nose.
Watch out for 600 followers freebie coming up soon and this Wednesday's freebie...Thanks for stopping by!

Armed police raid My Mum and Dad!!

This happened last week. I couldn't believe it when mum told me. They'd just finished their lunch, dad was having a snooze on the sofa, mum had got up to take the plates back out into the kitchen when she noticed 'policemen' coming up the garden path. "Oh Jim!" sez mum, who had a kidney out a few years ago due to cancer,"There's policemen! what on earth can be wrong, quick you go!" Mum, thinking they were bringing bad news, shook dad awake. "You go!" Dad, who still has to wear a catheter after a spell in hospital three months ago, wobbled to his feet a bit puzzled. They are both in their middle eighties and hard of hearing. Luckily they opened the front door before it was bashed down, to armed policemen in full riot gear and tracker dogs! In our sleepy village we never see policemen and never ever with guns anywhere! There were police cars and vans everywhere. Mum said they wanted to search the house, they were all around the house, out the back, in the garden, out in the road. "We just didn't know what was going on! They were looking for someone with guns and knives!" One of the policeman's walkie talkie started buzzing and crackling and they rushed out, spoke to a neighbour then, quickly drove off again! "Wow!" said me, "Luckily you didn't go to adjust your catheter dad, (it's hidden, a tiny thing strapped to his leg) they might have thought you were going for a hidden gun or knife!" Of course, they'd made a mistake. My mum and dad aren't gangsters, although they did go as Al Capone and his moll to Emma's eighteenth birthday years ago! Hopefully someone from the police will apologize, it's a wonder they both didn't keel over with heart attacks!

A Quirky Book Mark

It's that Quirky time again, time to put your knickers on backwards, take your socks off and stand in a bucket of cold custard! Time for the new fortnightly challenge to start over on Quirky Craft's Challenge Blog. And this time round it's Caro's turn to set the theme and she has chosen...
Anything But a Card!
Yep! Definitely out of my comfort zone! We are sponsored this time by lovely Robyn's Fetish and because of the initials of the challenge, abc (called an acronym according to Caro.. but don't ask me, I can't even pronounce it!) I've chosen to use some of the back to school images to make this little.... book mark.
Everything here including the papers Polka Dot Fantasy, (Printed straight onto the card) you'll find over on the Robin's Fetish shop.
I've coloured the images with Promarkers, making two of little Katy reading her books, so I could cut her out and fix her over the first image with some 3D foam pads. These were only suck at the top leaving the bottom half clear. Now she can 'hang' on the page, or peep over the top, letting you know what page you're on, and less likely to slip out of the book. I've left a little space between the other images so a name can be added, or other things like, 'keep out of my book, nosey!' Okay, that's it from me... it's your turn now! You can make anything you like, as long as it isn't a card!! Thanks for stopping by!

Witching You A Hauntingly Fab Birthday!

Here's one of my digi's. Wilma and Wizzy the witch with her cat, flying on her magical broomstick, on a Halloween Birthday card.
I've made at least one Halloween birthday card every year for as long as I've been making cards. Don't really need to make one this year, but, old habits...and all that.
I printed Wilma and her cat straight onto some Pink Petticoat Papers using the PNG image (so no white background...with most of my digi's now you get both JPeg and PNG when purchased from the Digi Store, butI have to put a few more black bits in to make that work) I coloured two more images with Promarkers. The second image was fixed straight onto the first, minus the little spider swinging from Wilma's hat. With the third image, I cut Wilma off her broomstick, along with Wizz the cat and the broomy end of the broom, and Wizzy's tail too, so I could do a bit of 3D-ing.
After that I sprinkled on a bit of micro fine glitter, added those candi card brads, purple and black eye-lash wool and a few tiny die-cuts from some Halloween confetti.
I used a Woodware punch for the flower, and A Martha Steward spider web boarder punch and fern punch. The bats are actually the cut outs from a Martha Steward bat corner punch.
The font a freebie, it's called, of course Halloween. This one is quite hard to find because of it's name, loads of freebie fonts appear on Google if you just type in 'Halloween', but this one is found HERE and loads HERE you'll love even more!
New Followers: Hi and a very big (((wave))) to 505Whimsygirl, Appletonmob, (no link) and Tada! Crafts, no link but this just has to be you at blah-to-tada. all out the back and in the dark!
That's me done for now...weird things happening all week, me got locked in somewhere and had to climb out through a window. My mum and dad (both in their 80's) had an armed police raid one lunch time, with dogs and 'policemen with guns' said my mum! Whatever next! Thanks for stopping by!
